Supporting the arts, one artist at a time

Molly Pollock

A 2014 graduate from Nantucket High School, Molly is an illustrator who prefers to work in watercolors. She attends the Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine, with a dream of becoming a children’s book illustrator and stationary designer. Molly said she chose this school because the majority of its senior year program is comprised of internships in several fields including working at publications. The school reports that 70 percent of these internships become job offers.

“It’s wonderful. I’m really excited about it. The school has a slogan: ‘Make the starving artist extinct’.”

Molly is also already a member of the Artists Association of Nantucket and will continue to exhibit there during college.
